Collaborative Ventures was the brainchild of Mark Williams, Jeffrey L. Green, and Luther Carter, Jr.
Prior to forming the group, they realized that an important factor in their future success in the
Charlotte business community would depend upon their ability to adapt to changes in the
marketplace, and by networking and sharing business information with some of Charlotte’s new
and growing businesses.
After brief affiliations with several other networking groups, they visualized what they wanted in a business resource organization and decided to form their own group. What makes their approach
unique is their collective focus, on helping members find creative solutions to address some of their business challenges. In addition, the group also shares business information regarding existing business opportunities, new projects in the region, and new businesses opening in the area.
The purpose of Collaborative Ventures is to promote business development, business diversity,
identify business opportunities and encourage education and technical assistance for the economic
success of its members and other Charlotte entrepreneurs.
Collaborative Ventures is made of business professionals representing a multitude of professions,
such as; insurance, banking, telecommunications, real estate, marketing, accounting, conference
planning, and many more.
The overall concept is one of evolutionary portions “Change is Necessary”.
