Pastor Bond has a love for God and an entrepreneural spirit that drives him into business associations and affiliations as he seeks to serve the community. After graduating from University of Maryland (College Park) with a B.S. in Finance (1988), he entered the sales profession within corporate America in hopes of acquiring the “American dream.” | ||||
| While pursuing a vibrant sales career with several fortune 500 companies (Frito Lay, Inc., MCI Corporation, Oracle Corporation, Brio Technology), he received a call to the ministry in June 1991. Since then, he has been committed to becoming equipped to serve the Lord in vocational Christian ministry. Pastor Bond began his theological studies at Capital Bible Seminary (CBS), later transferring to Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary (LBTS) where he received a Master of Arts in Religion (1999). At the climax of his Executive Sales career, he developed a heavy burden for hurting people. Though others considered it ludicrous, he stepped out on faith and resigned from his sales career to pursue a counseling degree. God had a plan for Pastor Bond, one that paid eternal dividends, unlike the rising six-figure income from Corporate America from which he had walked away. Pastor Bond returned to CBS in 1999 to pursue a Master of Arts in Christian Counseling and Discipleship. While in seminary, God used him in leading and co-leading small groups in the local church on men’s issues and parenting. While pursuing his degree, he was ordained at Woodstream Church in Mitchellville, MD. Pastor Bond currently serves as the Lead Pastor/Founder of Wellspring Church. With a passion for God and an entreprenuerial spirit, he has established this church in order to serve the community with the truth and love of Jesus Christ. Dwayne R.
